      It no news about the death of the popular Instagram influencer Augusta, who was killed by her boyfriend, Benjamin A.K.A #Killaboy who was known for his lavish lifestyle on social media. However, her death created some heated sensation on social media.

      Firstly, I am a lady and I will say Nigerians are very insensitive people and like to glorify suffering, most Nigerians are unhappy with their lives and their financial state and always ready to give unsolicited opinions on people who they deem a scapegoat to situations or events they wished they had or could experience.

     On 12h of July 2023.  Augusta's body was found in her supposed boyfriend's house which he denied to be his on Instagram, also his absence was met when the police invaded the premises. When the police broke into the apartment they found her dead body and some other missing body part such as; her eyes, bre**ts, and private part. 

   Detailed information about what happened and led to her discovery was given to the blogs by someone who lived in the estate. At the breaking of the news by the blogs when the boyfriend decided to break his silence, I personally failed to ignore how #Instablog choose to introduce this boy " Yahoo boy who was arrested 3 years ago by EFFC"..... this is a preliminary introduction of his status and history of illegal acts.   

   Until the announcement of her death was when Oga decided to break the silence about this innocence and how she was his "beloved", I am sorry, BELOVED? you left to left to bleed to death? and didn't speak or take any action until you were found!!   

   I believe yes. they were in a toxic relationship, and situations get sticky but I also believe (not accusing) that she must have found out about some things which she wasn't meant to which lead to them fighting and her picking the knife most probably to protect herself, from the statement that was given it was mentioned other missing body parts were found in his apartment aside hers. 

    It is so sad that in all of this society tends to blame the victim especially if its a "woman" and not the perpetrator and I feel this is what is giving the guy the flex to keep on posting content about how he is not at fault, he loved the girl, how his life ruined and trying to play on peoples intelligence acting like a narcissist and manipulator, answering blogs comment, indirectly blaming the victim and expecting us to believe a one-sided story. Because the girl is gone and can't speak for herself. 

I am well assured that if that lady was alive today it will be a different story or view that we will be getting, and there will be more to what we know, but what baffles me is that the guys' followers keep increasing!! seems to me like people are buying into this whole sympathetic write-up, lies, and bullshit.

    Expanding on social media taking his one-sided story, is the fact that some celebrities took the opportunity to air some insensitive view on her tragic death. I will say for one psychopaths are everywhere, rich or poor, gentleman or not, educated or not. Humans are capable of anything in any given desperate situation and you can never know someone fully. seeing the need to ignore the perpetrator completely and blame the victim because you feel like her lavish lifestyle was not of her age is uncalled for, nobody is in denial about the vices that go on in today's society, especially among youths( fast money. fast life), but sometimes try and respect the dead, glorifying suffering should be some peoples emblem. 

    I viewed some comments on some blogs and a particular comment from a guy caught my attention more. When he claimed to have known the Benjamin guy and that he and Benjamin were house hunting in Lagos some years ago #Killaboy's mother went missing and now his girlfriend.

   To all those gullible Nigerians and women who up till now with all your relationship experiences can't tell when a man is lying and trying to buy empathy from you especially when they are guilty, I will simply say I hope you don't become a victim of such tragic situation, or your family members, friends, or someone you know.

    A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and I am no judge.

    There is nothing wrong with anybody or a woman wanting to live or have a good life, People should use good reasoning and logic before airing opinions, especially on sensitive issues. 

    I hope the family gets Justice on the case and my deepest condolence to their family, because, losing a loved one is painful and no one deserves to go through that.

Guinness Book of Record—Longest Hour of Cooking by Hilda Bassey

 

                              HILDA BACI----- " THE COOK-A-THON"

There's a saying that goes if you raise a girl child you have raised a nation. 

Hilda Bassey Effiong has been no exception. These last few days have been a moment of pride for Nigeria as well as an inspiration to grown women and young girls. 

Hilda chose to showcase her culinary skills to the world and break the Guinness World record for the Longest Hours of individual cooking.

   

This action by her has indeed Inspired a lot of women to be more thriving, and believe in themselves with consistency and confidence even when no one else is positive about the process.

A clip from TVC News Nigeria showed a woman expressing her support for Chef Hilda and stated that Hilda had really inspired her as an older Chef to do better; just by seeing her there and the crowd that turned out masse in full support.

I have surfed the Internet to really understand why she chose this path. I’ve understood that Chef Hilda is a woman of aspiration, a go-getter, and she is determined judging from her interviews with  Breakfast Central TV #NewsCentralTV #NewsCentralAfrica. 

She had a lot to say about why she choose to challenge the former record holder Lata Tandon.

For one, she has been obsessed with Guinness World Record and wanted to be a record holder. 

Hilda has dreamt of doing this for the past five years to prove that there is more to women of her tribe and to create this precedent for other women to follow and accomplish.     

Surprisingly, it was also noted that she trimmed some weight so as to have the stamina to carry on the cook-a-thon without breaking.

Days before the scheduled cook-a-thon. Hilda Baci did a 24hrs dry run to ensure she was ready and everything is fit. Hence, her four days of marathon cooking commenced on May 11th, 2023, and ended on 15th May 2023  is supported by brands such as Food by Hilda, Uber, Gino, the Culinary Arts Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CAPA), etc.  

Furthermore, graced by Politicians and leaders who came out to support her; 

President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu described her via his social media space as "Idan" who doesn't break, She breaks records, ‘we are rooting for you Hilda’. 

Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who commended her in person and had takeout.

 2023 Presidential candidate Peter Obi and his wife Margaret Obi encouraged Hilda Baci in her Dialect

Alongside, Akwa Ibom state governor, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo who also did a video call session with her.

   

Brand influencers, Chefs, and celebrities came out with flying colors to support her. The media has been filled with so much love and support for her. 

Not to forget the massive crowd that came out to support and encourage her. The initial time was 96 hours as against the former record holder but Chef Hilda surpassed the 96hrs to 100hrs. 

It is commendable to mention that in all of the stress, and long hours of cooking, amidst her menstrual cycle, she maintained and delivered her utmost tasty and flavored dishes

 In my opinion, Hilda Baci has gotten the well-deserved recognition she deserves not just from owning "Food by Hilda" (her personal brand and restaurant) but from putting Nigeria as a whole on the forefront and making it harder for the next person to beat her record. 

In conclusion, she gained deals and endorsements from brands as well as rewards.  The cook-a-thon created a platform that brought people together to have fun, make content, showcase their talents and bring high vibrations to the whole moments endured.
